Winter 2019

This project is the product of the Char-Broil and SCAD-Pro collaboration. I was part of a team of talented students from a variety of majors. We worked with Char-Broil to help them develop ideas for what the outdoor cooking experience will be in 30 years.  I had a fantastic time working with my peers; many challenges come when working with large groups. From this experience, I have not only learned about working with real-world clients but also how to work with and within a team of designers.

This is the concept I developed, it is a portable electric grill that unrolls from its carrying case like a yoga mat. The mat is made from food-safe silicone. Plus everything is detachable for easy washing.

Below is the full project ​book with tones of insightful research into what generation z wants in their outdoor cooking for the year 2029. Along with 13 unique and revolutionary concepts that could not only change the way we cook but also change the way we socialize with family and friends.
